3D Workflow
Following the highly successful European launch of Panasonics range of 3D screens at Lyndhurst hall featuring live performances from Paul Carrick and his band (of Mike and the Mechanics fame), we’ve been posting the 3D footage shot at the event.
Director / Producer Peter van Hooke has been working at our HD post facilities in Singer Street to edit and finish the material in stereoscopic 3D for subsequent sequential authoring to 3D blu-ray disc.
Peter’s editor, Keith Mottram, worked closely with our editing and technical staff to develop a cost effective stereoscopic workflow that enabled Peter and Keith to edit, make 3D convergence adjustments, grade and output the footage as 1080P HD sequential HD. Using Final Cut Pro, Neo 3D, After Effects and Apple Color and monitoring on a Panasonic 60” 3D screen, we were able to fix a number of stereo specific issues that arose during the live shooting and create a 3D product that looked, and indeed sounded fantastic.
Following the success of this project Peter has then been working with us on posting 3D showreel material for Panasonic, as well as collaborating on some 3D camera testing, including some stunning natural history footage that Peter shot in the Canary Islands.
With solutions for stereoscopic editorial and finishing for Avid and FCP based projects, please call us to discuss your 3D requirements.
